I came across a story today on MSNBC about a woman in Arkansas who is pregnant with her 18th child. Holy Cow.

Included in the mix are 10 boys and seven girls — Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah and baby Jennifer, who arrived last Aug. 2.
With two sets of twins, Michelle has gone through 15 pregnancies that ended in 13 natural deliveries and two Caesarean sections. "
She is now pregnant and her last delivery was 9 months ago...even her kids are trained to watch the calendar and to be ready for the announcements....
The full story describes their religious reasons for having so many children. I think it's crazy, personally!!! But I guess if they are happy and the children are fed, nurtured, and educated, then who am I to complain about it?

18 kids are very common here in israel. either with the very religous jews, or the arab families.
when i had one of my girls in jerusalem i met a woman who had just given birth to her 17th child and she was a few years younger at the time. she still had about 10 years of fertility in her !!!
