American Idol Top 5

Tonight was Rat Pack night. I was really looking forward to these types of songs tonight. Jamie Foxx was the mentor, and honestly he did an awesome job with the contestants. I loved him in Ray.

Tonight I'm going back to my grading system and tonight it's just a letter, no plus or minus!

1. Kris= (A) Way You Look Tonight. This was a good song for him to sing and I liked it when he sped it up a bit. I love his voice but this wasn't his best performance....but I still gave him an A because I really like listening to him sing!

2. Allison= (A) Someone to Watch Over Me. I LOVE this song and I really liked hearing her sing something different, slower. I agree with Simon though, she doesn't come off as really wanting to win. I think she's so young that winning isn't as important as just being there.

3. Matt= (A) Funny Valentine. I really wish he'd played the piano because I think it would have been a better performance. His vocals were good and it was a good song choice and I really like him...he's a cutie and all of that. Not his best but it was still worthy of an A for me.

4. Danny (A) Come Rain or Come Shine. Oh my GOD. This was Danny's best performance by a mile. I loved him singing this. Finally Danny wowed me. I really think if he keeps bringing it like this he could be in the finals.

5. Adam (A) Feeling Good. Of course I give Adam an A and I liked his performance. I agreed with Randy though...it was a bit theatrical for a Rat Pack song...but the vocals were of their usual greatness.

Based on performances and voting history to his point I believe that Matt or Allison will go home this week. It will make me sad to see either one of them go, because I really like all of them and I would buy all of their music...but someone has to go home.

I'm still predicting that Adam for sure will be in the finale, but it's anyone's game for the second spot...I would love to see any of them be there but I think it will be Danny or Kris.

I don't have a hard time with Matt leaving, but the other four--that's going to be sad! :( I hate this part--I have no idea who's going to win. It seems like it will be Adam because he's such an entertainer--and really good--and he stands out--but we really don't know who's been coming in at the top. I'd love to know who's first place each week. I wonder if that would influence the voting? I think so.
