American Idol top 7

Will Matt prove he was worth saving last week? Will Anoop and Lil finally get kicked off?

Here is what happened tonight:

Tonight was Disco Night...they had better pick some good songs or this will be a snoozer.

Lil= Of course she chose Chaka Khan's I'm Every Woman...hasn't she sang that song already this season? BORING. She got alot of cheers from the audience which surprises me. It's clear that the judges don't like her and neither do I. Simon was right, it was copycat. I guess she hadn't sang the song previously, but it sounded like previous songs.

Commercial: Previews of Angels and Demons. I haven't read the book. I find it hard to believe that it would be as good as The Davinci Code.

Haircolor- I wonder what percentage of women in the US have completely natural hair color at any given time?

Kris= She Works Hard For The Money by Donna Summer. OMG I love this version of the song...good job Kris! I'm not sure whether the guitar works as well with it, we'll see what the judges say. I love the way he ended the song...awesome! YAY! They liked him as much as I did!

The judges are talking too much again.

This computer commercial reminds me that my dream job would be to work for Facebook, or Smiley Central. Wouldn't it be fun to create all of those smiley emoticons? I would start by creating one in the likeness of each American Idol contestant.

I must admit that I hate most commercials. What a waste of time and money.

Danny= September by Earth Wind and Fire. Cool...I wanted him to sing this song! I really like it when he stands with the back up singers...very humbling. He did a pretty good job...a bit screechy in places but overall pretty good. I like Danny but I honestly can't see him winning this thing. I don't think Kara heard the screeching that I heard. I agree Paula...he does have a sexy voice...love the raspiness...but not the screech. I also agree with Simon...I'm not seeing "star potential" in Danny.

Allison= Hot Stuff by Donna Summer. I like that she changed it up a bit but I wish she would have danced around more! I really like the "Hot hot hot hot stuff" part of the song...great job Allison! I don't think this was her best, but she did very well! I'd still like to see her change her hair color...I'm tired of the bright pink/red.

I've always thought it would be fun to learn to surf. I wonder how many teenage girls in the US are vaccinated against HPV. Speaking of which I'm due for my pap smear. I know...too much information. Nothing like putting personal information out there for everyone to read, huh? What a stupid commercial: I like square butts and I cannot lie? I wish I had singing talent. I think it would be so much fun to sing/perform in musicals.

Adam= If I Can't Have You- from Saturday Night Fever...don't remember who sang the song originally. This is cool...he's kind of singing a ballad version of the song. What a different spin! What a great way for us to really hear his voice, which is awesome. I have a feeling Simon won't like it though. Kara is right, he is brilliant. Paula is shaking (?). Well I was wrong...Simon did like it!

Oh no...Matt is next. What will he sing? I really really want him to do well tonight.

Previews of The Soloist, looks like a really good movie. I've always liked Robert Downy Jr. He has had his share of problems with drugs. It seems as though he's kicked the problem now, I hope so. I honestly predicted he'd be dead by now.

May you stay forever young...love the Bob Dylan commercial. Can't say I even remember what the commercial is for when it's done, but the song is going through my head. Where are KIA's made? Korea? Japan?

I skipped my workout tonight and cleaned my bathroom. I haven't made that choice in a while...and it shows (the house is very dirty!)

Matt= Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees. I was worried for my Matt for disco week...hmmm. I kind of like what he's doing with the song. I think he's doing a pretty dang good job! I hope the judges and America agree! I don't think Matt was very happy with his performance, he seemed defeated when he was done. I HOPE he's safe for another week...I don't think it was as bad as what the judges said.

Hmmm... I don't have high hopes for Anoop either. Anoop just doesn't have the personality that everyone else has. Every one of the contestants seem to be genuine nice people...but Anoop comes off snooty, cocky, and reserved.

I wonder what the theme will be next week? I get tired of these theme nights. I wish they'd let America pick the songs...that would be fun!

Anoop= They didn't announce the name of the song for Anoop...I don't recognize it. He's not doing very well either. Oh...it's Dim all the lights or something like that. He's not doing very well. If he stays and Matt goes I will be mad. Hmmm...the judges are liking him more than I am. Simon, thank you for really listening!!!

I am predicting the rest of the competition will go as follows:

Lil and Anoop-this week
Matt-next week (boo hoo)
Danny
Kris/Allison
Finale will be Adam and Allison or Kris!!!

Honestly? Once Anoop and Lil have gone I would be happy with any of the remaining winning the competition!
