American Idol top 3 (and a bit of Biggest Loser)

I can't believe we are a week away from the finale already! As much as I love American Idol it's always good when it's over.because it takes up alot of my time!

Having a 4th judge takes away from the contestants...they used to sing 3 songs at this point in the competition now only two. I vote to get rid of Paula.

Danny: Paula picked a song that Danny didn't know...Dance Little Sister by Terrance Trent D'arby. I've never heard of it either. I don't really care for the song. He sounds like he's shouting it somewhat. I do like the "do do do" part though :-). I reserve my judgement of Danny and all of the guys until the end. I agree with Simon, Paula should have picked a different song for him. I'm really getting tired of Randy and Paula's antics.

Switching over to Biggest Loser Finale during commercials! And of course I have to wait until after the break to find out whether Ron or Mike end up in the finals...

Kris: Randy and Paula picked Apologize for Kris...What? I don't see him singing this song...we'll see. Oh good he's playing the piano. So far he's not doing too bad. I think he did well...I kind of like him singing with his eyes closed and getting into the song. I bet the judges will comment on his lack of connection with the audience though. I missed the bum note that Paula referred to. Once again it becomes more about the judges than the contestant. If American Idol returns for a 9th season that crap needs to stop! Kris seems nervous tonight.

Okay....cutting over to Biggest Loser again. I'm lost here and not sure what is going on....oh it looks like America is voting for one of two girls to be on the show next season...and of course it's another commercial. Sigh. I get so tired of commercials.

Switching back to Fox...don't want to miss a single second of Adam. I wonder what crazy song Simon will pick for him. Adam can sing anything so it should be good no matter what the song.
I'm disappointed in the show so far...for all the comments made so far this season regarding song choice the first two songs were not good picks.

Adam: Simon picked One by U2, and I predict he will do a great job with it. WOW. I have always loved this song but this version/arrangement is awesome. I think it would have been better without his usual screamy thing though....if he'd kept it on the ballad side throughout it would have been perfect! Randy's eyes look jaundiced...must be the glasses. I guess there is no guessing how Kara feels about Adam. Oh Paula just shut up. I hope Simon didn't jinx Adam with his praise.

I've got to get onto itunes and get some more of the contestants songs downloaded...especially Allison...I miss her!

Okay over to Biggest loser again....and of course a commercial. I hate it when my "shows" are on at the same time. I'm DVR'ing both of them but the problem is finding the time to watch them later. I wish Bob or Jillian could move in with me and help me lose my last 20 pounds...I need someone "on my case" 24/7 in order to get it done.

Back to Fox. Round one of the competition goes to Adam, with Danny and Kris tied. Now we're going to hear from Carrie Underwood in Angola with the Idol gives back. Those little babies and kids are sooo cute. I get teared up every time I see this type of footage. So Small...I hope Carrie and Matt sing that song as a duet in the finale...

Okay now it's round two...contestants choice. But of course first a commercial. I'll see what's going on on loser...well whaddya know... another commercial! GAHHHHHH!

I wish I had the time to devote to this blog. I really enjoy "blogging" but it is very time consuming.

They're still doing the contest to see which of the two girls will be on loser next season...BORING. Switching back to Fox.

Danny: He picked You are so Beautiful by Joe Cocker. He really does have a good voice. I'm just not sure where he fits into the mainstream music industry. Maybe that really doesn't matter? He is doing tons better on this song than that stupid one Paula picked for him. All 4 judges really liked him and there was not any drama between the judges...whew. I thought he did an awesome job.

Kris: He picked Heartless by Kanye West...Oh no...not a Kanye West song. I'm thinking this will be a bad bad idea. This may be his ticket home. Okay...he's changing it up. Hmmm. You know if I didn't know it was a Kanye West song I would like it better but knowing it's a Kanye West song poisons it for me...I can't stand Kanye West. I'm disappointed, I think it was a bad song choice for him. Randy sure liked it. Kara sure liked it. I think I must have missed something here. Paula just shut up. Simon liked it too. Hmmmmm.

Over to Loser...Wow! Jerry is in the lead so far. He's the guy that almost coded during his first official workout and had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. He's the oldest Biggest Loser contestant to date. I almost don't recognize him, he's lost alot of weight. I missed how much because of course I am also watching idol. This is kind of fun to type away while watching TV...but it's probably not much fun to read. If I've learned anything from book club it's that one persons idea of good writing doesn't always translate into anothers idea of good reading! I'm still hungry dangit.

Adam: He picked Cryin' by Aerosmith. Hmmm...I would have thought he'd sound better but the background vocals are messing it all up...he's off kilter somehow...oh okay now it's sounding better. Hmmm...not sure I'm liking this all that much...his first song was better. I agree, he is the best they've ever had on this stage so far...they say that about one person every season. I don't think this was his best though. I think his best so far was play that funky music tied with track of my tears!!

Honestly I think round two went to Danny with Kris and Adam tied for second. It's really anyone's game.

I predict that Adam will for sure make it into the final...and I just can't predict who will be there with him...
