An unanswerable question

Does God give preference to prayers that come in multitudes?

If someone has a group of people praying for them (as in a church prayer chain etc) does that person have more of a chance of getting their prayers answered?

Does God hear prayers in multitude over a single solitary prayer?

I want to believe that a loving God would not base answers on how many people one can get to pray for them...but would answer their prayer based on whether it's the right thing for that person.

So...what is the benefit of having alot of people praying for you? If it's not to have a better chance of getting your prayer answered then what is it? Is it more so that you have a sense of peer support? Or...is it more for the ones that are praying---so that they feel they are helping out somewhat?

This is a question that I've pondered often...I've just never had the guts to ask it out loud before ;-)
